About the gospel
The Gospel
Whether you've followed Jesus for years or are hearing about Him for the first time, the gospel is for you.
God loves you and desires a relationship with you. Through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, He has made a way for your sins to be forgiven and for you to receive eternal life.
If you place your trust in Jesus, repent of your sins, and follow Him, you can experience the hope, peace, and new life that only He can give.
"If anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!" — 2 Corinthians 5:17
We pray that every piece we create points you to Jesus and serves as a reminder of His love, truth, and the hope found in Him alone.
What Is the Gospel?
The word gospel means "good news." It is the good news of what God has done through Jesus Christ to rescue us from sin and restore us to Himself.
Why Do We Need the Gospel?
God created us to know Him and live in relationship with Him.
"So God created mankind in his own image..." — Genesis 1:27
But we have all sinned by choosing our own way instead of God's. Sin separates us from Him, and no amount of good works can remove our sin.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." — Romans 3:23
"For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord." — Romans 6:23
What Has God Done?
Because of His great love, God sent His Son, Jesus Christ, into the world.
Jesus lived a perfect, sinless life that we could never live. He willingly died on the cross, taking the punishment our sins deserved. Three days later, He rose from the dead, defeating sin and death and making a way for us to be reconciled to God.
"But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." — Romans 5:8
"Christ died for our sins... he was buried... he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures." — 1 Corinthians 15:3–4
How Do We Respond?
The gospel is not about earning God's love through good works. Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ.
God calls us to repent—turn away from our sin—and place our trust in Jesus as Lord and Saviour.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith... it is the gift of God—not by works." — Ephesians 2:8–9
"Repent and believe the good news!" — Mark 1:15
The Promise
Everyone who trusts in Jesus is forgiven, made right with God, and given the gift of eternal life.
"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." — John 3:16
Whether you've known Jesus for years or you're hearing about Him for the first time, the invitation is the same. The gospel is God's good news for everyone.
"If you declare with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." — Romans 10:9
